Guess who is the first name on the list of Hollywood idiots defending Roman Polanski? Woody Allen!!! [no surprise there LOL] Keep reading though and there's Terry Gilliam, David Lynch, and, ugh... Martin Scorsese. Just curious if any of these directors and actors ...have any 13 year old daughters or granddaughters? I guess that child rape and child sodomy are A-OK as long as you make a Chinatown or a Rosemary's Baby. By that standard Scorsese can murder and disembowl a school bus full of boyscouts just for Goodfellas. Add Casino, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver & The Departed and Marty could probably be absolved of a 9/11 style massacre by Hollywood liberals.

I never thought I would say this, but I always thought that Marty Scorsese had such a firm grasp of morality and right and wrong displayed through his movies, but I was wrong: Burn In Hell Marty.

2. Viva La Vida or Death and All of His Friends/Prospekt’s March EP
I like Coldplay…And this is there best album…I would say without the EP, it’s lower, but they did release both as a two-disc set…So, they become #2…A lot of people give these guys crap, but they have released one good album after another…And this album really works on a lot of levels…Too bad that first single was crap…They had to make one song sound like everything else…The rest of the album is very good…

1. Death Magnetic - MetallicaI could break it down song by song and try an explain the indricisies of metal, but it all comes down to this album ROCKS…Everytime I listen to it, I can’t believe how it moves and just barrels thru, Old School Guitar leads and Drum breaks take me back to another time…When Hard Rock was king…Unlike GNR, Metallica didn’t try and reinvent the wheel, they just rolled it a lot faster…These guys got the last laugh on Axl Rose…In a year when he should have been King, Metallica paid him back for his shitty attittude in the eighties…And made a statement…Metal is Back and all of that other crap can bow down to the Kings of Metal…Metallica

I think its safe to say that with the recent Braylon Edwards episode, the 2008 season has topped every Browns season since 1999 for shittyness. 1999 & 2000 don't count since they were an expansion team. 2001 was fun and 2002 was awesome up until they lost to the Steelers in the playoffs. 2003 sucked pretty hard, but I was was distracted by other things that I couldn't absorb the failure as well as I could this season, 2004 was pretty bad, as was 2005 and 2006. For some reason 2004/2005/2006 all kind of blur together. I've seen every Browns game on TV since 1999 and followed them since 1979 and I just want this season to be over. Just forfeit the last two games.

Cleveland Browns 2008 season [so far]

Is the 2008 season over? Maybe, maybe not. Is it over for me?, most likely. As a Browns fan since 1979 I have become used to disappointment and heartbreak. Red Right 88, The Drive, The Fumble, Losing in the 1994 playoffs, Losing the team in 1995, The craptastic expansion seasons of 1999 & 2000, The Bottle game against the Jags in 2001, The Dwayne Rudd Helmet Toss, The Jan 2003 collapse against the Steelers. If you are a Browns fans each of those memories brings a unique type of pain. I thought I was immune to it, but no. Last Sunday's game against the Steelers destroyed me. I hate the Steelers so very much. More than I hate Micheal Moore, the entire Gyllenhaal Family and Whoopi Goldberg combined. Yes, I know we had injuries, lousy clock management, and a bunch of other intangibles, but, The Steelers were beatable.

The Browns treated the opening game against Dallas like game 5 of the preseason, whatever. But, with the team on the field we should have beaten the Steelers, but we didn't. The Steelers were who we thought they were. Our defense actually played decently. D.A. and the offense along with the coaching staff shit the bed. I was worried in preseason, but I thought that they would make it work in time for the season, especially with such a strong batch of contenders to open the season with.

It seems that the Brownies got high on their own fumes. They shouldn't have, because I know a secret that escaped the media who named the Browns as this years hot, trendy pick for the playoffs (as Al Micheals repeated quite a few times last sunday.) The secret is that they didn't really beat anyone that good last season. Seattle was perhaps the best team that they beat. The best team that they met all season, the Steelers, they lost twice against. In true Cleveland fashion, they got stuck with a playoff team's schedule, without even making the playoffs. They needed to step up and so far they are playing worse than last year. Let's say they get their shit together and win the next two games against Baltimore and Cincy , they get the NY Giants on MNF 10/13/2008, ugh. I just have the sinking feeling that this is going to be a rebuilding year. Unfortunately, 2 out of every 3 seasons are rebuilding years for the Brownies. The steeler's game just sucked whatever enthusiasm I had for the season right out of me. Week 2 is a new personal record for me, usually its about halfway through the season when I lose my faith.

Cleveland Browns opening day memories: Dwayne Rudd

If you are a Browns fan, you know who Dwayne Rudd is, but let me steal from wikipedia:

Rudd's most (in)famous moment came in the 2002 season opener between the Browns and the Kansas City Chiefs. With less than 10 seconds left on the clock and the Browns clinging to a 39–37 lead, Chiefs quarterback Trent Green dropped back to pass, but the entire Browns defensive line swarmed him and it initially appeared that Rudd sacked Green. However, Green lateraled the ball to tackle John Tait just before he went down. Rudd did not see the play, however, and after getting up he threw his helmet in the air in celebration, thinking Green had been sacked and the game was over.
Tait rumbled to the Browns' 25-yard line where he was knocked out of bounds. That would have been the end of the game, but Rudd's premature helmet toss drew the Browns an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty which moved the ball to the 13-yard line (half the distance to the goal), and since football games by rule can not end on a defensive penalty, Chiefs kicker Morten Andersen booted a 30-yard field goal with no time left to win the game 40–39.
